Parks, Recreation & Culture is pleased to offer School year youth swimming lessons held at the Newton North High School Pool. Classes will be held weekends mornings and we are offering three sessions throughout the year. Each session will be a six week program. Please note dates below where classes are not held due to holidays. There are NO makeup classes offered.Session 1: December 1st to January 12th (No class 12/29) Registration now closed Session 2: January 26th to March 16th (No class 2/16, 3/2) Registration now closed Session 3 Sundays : March 23rd to May 4th (No class 4/20)Session 3 Saturdays: March 22nd to May 3rd (No class 4/19) Registration Fee:Newton Residents: $180Non- Residents: $215About the Program:The Swim Lesson Program will be taught by Swim Instructors. The lessons will follow an American Red Cross curriculum, adjusted to each class as necessary.The Learn-to-Swim program focuses on building skills one step at a time. By giving them the opportunity to master one element before moving on to the next, our kids' swim classes make it easy to build confidence in the water.Notes for Parents:On the first day of the session, the instructors will evaluate each student to ensure they are in the right class level.Please arrive early the first week to check in with the Head Instructor and get familiar with the facility.Check in with the staff member in the Lobby.
