Wilderness Education Camp for Middle Schoolers - Level 2
Natural Mystic's Wilderness Education Camp is an immersive experience that is designed to foster a deep connection between participants and nature. Camp experiences are designed to foster happiness, vitality, fun, health, expansion of the senses, listening, critical thinking, empathy, compassion, reflection, patience, perseverance, and commitment.Level 1Learn:Fire buildingShelter building using a tarp (if time natural shelters)Aidless NavigationKnife Safety and UseIntroduction to carvingIntroduction to useful plantsSensory awareness techniques and routinesLevel 2Learn:Advanced fire building (new techniques not included in level 1)Advanced shelter building using materials from the natural worldNavigating using a map and compassTool crafting (traps, snares, different types of spears)Basic wildlife trackingSensory awareness activities Sit spotMedicinal plants (exposure to more medicinal plants and their uses than level 1)Participants may sign up for Level 2 if Level 1 is filled!
