Embrace, Play and Exploration! Art is a pathway back to the joy and playfulness we experienced as children. We will pursue new ways of looking at our world through a series of simple drawing, printing and collage experiences. Perfect for all levels of artists who want to see what they might have missed as children.

Letter Art
If you can write your name, you can draw! Both printed letters and cursive use the same eye, brain, hand coordination that is critical to all drawing. In our first sessions, we will be exploring the properties of lines and shapes in the letters of our names through drawing, painting and collage work.

Gel Plate Printing
Gel plate printing is an easy way to create complex monotypes (one of a kind) prints. We will be creating with natural objects such as leaves, shells and feathers to create several multi colored, multi-layered works of art.
All materials will be provided but it is recommended that you bring an apron or smock. We will be using Akua inks which wash out with water. It would be helpful to bring a small newsprint pad to use to transport your prints but it is not necessary.
