Newton Parks, Recreation & Culture will be offering special gap programming to take place during the school outage from the Newton Teachers Association work stoppage.
Gap at Lower Falls Community Center: $75/day
This program will offer choice activities during each activity period including sports, arts & crafts, and games. Indoor and outdoor (when weather appropriate) activities will take place. Each day will have a fun special event. Staffed by Newton Parks, Recreation & Culture Full and Part Time Staff. All staff are CORI/SORI checked.
*8am - 3pm
*Extended day available until 5:30pm (Additional $20/day)
*Register for single days. Registration will only open through Wednesday Jan 31 as of 1/26@ noon. We will re-asses the end of the week as of Monday.

Things to Know for the program:
Please bring the following items to program(and make sure everything is labeled with your child's name):
*Snack and lunch
*Water bottle
*Clean shoes for the gym - boots/shoes worn outside are not allowed in the gym
*Clothes for outside - jacket, hat, gloves, snow pants, boots
*Change of clothes
*Medications and medication paperwork if applicable
Transportation will NOT be provided. If your child(ren) receive free lunch from the schools, please indicate that on your registration form and we will get them a lunch from the School Free Lunch distribution taking place on Monday & Thrusday. If your child has allergies, please send them with food as we cannot insure allergy safe lunch is being provided.
Refund will be issued for unused days if the program ends due to school resuming. Refunds will not be issued for participants that miss a day.
Participants looking to apply for scholarship should register at full price and use the attached form to apply for scholarship. If qualified, participants will receive a refund after scholarships have been reviewed and processed.
If your child requires medications during the day (including but not limited to epi-pens and inhalers), please fill out the Medication authorization form attached. We do NOT have a nurse on-site and medication administration availability may be limited.
