Newton Parks & Recreation is partnering with Youth Connections Metro Southwest to offer two employment focused workshops for teens ages 14 - 18 in preparation for summer and post high school employment and internship opportunities.
These workshops are offered to Newton residents and students enrolled at Newton Public Schools. Located at the Cooper Center in Newton.

- reviewing job descriptions
- filling out an application
- cover letters and resumes
- what to do after your application is sent
Please bring your current resume and cover letter to review. If you don't have a resume, please bring a list of work or job related experiences, awards, activities or skills that you have that you can use to create a resume.

Please come in as if you were dressing for an interview. Dress for the position that you want.
Sunday, January 31 will be a makeup day in case one of the sessions is cancelled due to inclement weather.
Students can sign up for one or both workshops. There is a $5.00 fee per workshop and pre-registration is required. Scholarships are available. If you need a scholarship or have registered and find you can no longer attend, please email Channon Ames at cames@newtonma.gov
