Pet CPR, First Aid and Care Training

at Newton City Hall War Memorial

Two separate classes will be offered - register for the one that works best for you.
Class 1: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm (listed online as 2/11 AM)   
Class 2: 1:30 - 4:00 pm (listed online as 2/11 PM)

Do you know how to help your pet in an emergency?  Join Newton Parks and Recreation and Paws N Claws 911 for this 2.5 hour Pet CPR and First Aid class. 

Perfect for pet parents, dog walkers, pet care professionals and more, this class will cover:
-proactive safety and wellness for pets
-scene safety and hazard mitigation
-medical emergencies
-poisoning and environmental emergencies
-emergency muzzling and restraint techniques
-vital signs assessment
-CPR for canines, felines and all size pets
-choking management
-bleeding control techniques


All students will receive a detailed handbook and certificate of completion.

No live animals will be used during this class.  Please leave your pets at home.  Participants will use stuffed animals to practice skills and techniques.
