Halloween Window Painting

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

The annual Newton Halloween Window Painting event is on Saturday, October 29, 2022 (rain date; October 30). Halloween Window Painting has become a tradition in Newton and provides a safe, fun opportunity for Newton area students, as well as their friends and family, to celebrate Halloween and express their artistic side.

The window painting event is open to Newton kids in Grades 3-8 (under adult supervision). Each young artist is assigned a space on the outside of a merchant's window in Newton’s participating villages on which to paint their masterpiece. The subject matter ranges from jack o’ lanterns, ghosts, goblins, witches, owls, to black cats and more; each artist has their own particular take on the haunted holiday! Please be sure you have read the rules and guidelines prior to the event.

Please register for your preferred village center. If there are no longer available spaces for your preferred village, you may sign up for the wait list or register for an alternative village. Please register early: priority registration ends October 14; after that date a late fee of $5 will be applied. No registrations will be accepted after October 18.

Window Assignments will be announced Friday October 21st on our webpage www.newtonma.gov/culture.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
