Introduction to Bird Language

This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

Bird language is a universal language that has been forgotten in the modern times. Our hunter-gather ancestors new and used this skill to avoid danger and locate prey. That means, deep within use all, is the ability to learn and use this skill. Present day hunter-gathers still use this skill today. Wildlife, too, use this skill in their daily lives.

Come and explore the beautiful woodlands of Nahanton Park, stopping to listen, observe, and discuss bird behavior. You may ask, why is this relevant today? Well for one thing, if you want to enrich your times in nature and see more birds, and other wildlife such as Weasels, Whitetail Deer, Hawks, Owls, Foxes, Coyotes, etc., then learning bird language is for you. Come and learn about the 5 voices of the birds, bird identification, and bird songs.

Earth Spirit Eco-Adventures has over 25 years of experience running environmental education programs reconnecting people with nature.
