Newton hosts several events and craft fairs throughout the year. These events are a great opportunity for artists, makers, and crafters to sell their works. This application is for handmade crafts, sand art, face painting, business & educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and food vendors (HARVEST FAIR ONLY). Fees are based on a 10 X 10 weighted canopy (for outdoor events) which is considered a single space, if more than one space is required contact the Cultural Development office for approval and fee structure. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR SUBSTITUTIONS OF THE FEE, UNLESS YOU ARE NOT ACCEPTED.You can submit your application for the following:Family FunFEST | Saturday, May 18, 2024  10am - 4pm(Registration Deadline: April 30, 2024)NOTE: All interested vendors must be family and child centered in your products and services offered. Update: Thank you for your interest in Family FunFest! You can join the free waitlist and we'll contact you directly for payment and confirmation if an opportunity opens up.Ukulele Festival - Strummin' Up To Boston | Sunday June 9, 2024 11am - 4pmStrummin’ Up To Boston is partnering with the City of Newton to bring a gathering of some of the finest most fun-loving ukulele groups for miles around to Newton City Hall for this entertaining and fun-loving ukulele festival!  The festival is indoors at Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Ave., and includes live musical performances by 8 New England based ukulele ensembles, one food truck, no more than 8 vendor booths selling unique musical gifts and useful items, and a group musical strum along led by the event organizer.  You can apply to this event if you sell or market music related products (instruments, accessories, lessons, etc.).  One six foot table and two chairs are included with your booth fee.  No electricity provided.July 4th Open Air Market | Thursday, July 4, 2024  1pm - Dusk(Registration Deadline: June 18, 2024)The festivities begin at 1pm on Albemarle Field and include a carnival featuring kiddie amusement rides and games by Cushing Amusements, live musical entertainment at the gazebo, live entertainment at the main stage beginning at 6pm with and food trucks and a spectacular fireworks display at dark.  NOTE: All interested FOOD VENDORS must email gordon.doug4@gmail.com. Put “Newton July 4th Food Vendor” in the subject line and give a short description of your product offering.Newton Harvest Fair | Sunday, October 20, 2024  (Registration Deadline: October 1, 2024)This fall festival features a full carnival with kiddie rides and games, two live music stages, food trucks and pumpkin decorating.  This event, now in its 49th year, draws over 3,000 people from surrounding communities.  NOTE: All interested FOOD VENDORS should apply on specific FOOD VENDOR application. You must have a current food permit issued by Newton Health and Human Services Department 617-796-1420 and a current permit from The Newton Fire Department (if propane is used) 617-796-2210. You must have these permits prior to the day of the event. You may also access permits at the Health Department website at www.newtonma.govBefore registering please read Rules & Regulations linked below. You are required to submit a completed application and payment of the appropriate booth space for your business, as well as a signed liability waiver. If you are registering as a non-profit organizations, you will be asked to upload proof of non-profit status.
